antifreeze stopped leaking, spark plug wire issue
My 02 AWD started leaking anti freeze then all of a sudden stopped. is the leak just most likely blocked up, or is it true that a water pump will leak then stop when its starting to go bad? this is what i was told but sounds kinda far fetched to me, if its gonna leak its gonna leak the way i see it. also, what would make the coating on spark plug wires melt away?

Re: antifreeze stopped leaking, spark plug wire issue
pressure testing the cooling system is a good way to check for leaks
are you sure rad/resivior is full??look for stains on rad, engine,& hoses its possible leak got clogged no the water pump doesnt stop leaking because its starting to go bad

Re: antifreeze stopped leaking, spark plug wire issue
Thanks for the reply. Yeah the last several times I've checked, the radiator and overflow have been full. I figured the leak was clogged up but wanted to run it by others. i saw where it was puddling when i t was leaking, back by the engine (this is an 02 Astro AWD) so i'm guessing the leak is maybe where the hose goes on to cool the engine??

Re: antifreeze stopped leaking, spark plug wire issue
if the leak did get clogged its not going to last
unless the system is that dirty and then you'll have other problems best to fix it and flush system how many miles on astro
