2005 questions

I'm new to the board & I'm 22 years old.

Have a few questions about the new 2005 Mustangs.

How much are these bad boys gonna cost? I'd imagine they'd be a little more than the current '03's right? How much per month?

How much for the conv? How much for the hardtop?

How much do you guys think the car insurance is going to be?

I know pretty much nothing about the convertables. For those who have one: Do they leak when it rains?

I really want one of these things.

Well I would think so. Why would they get our hopes up? I mean why post the pics on the 'net & magazines if they're not going to produce them?

Another question:

How much would the insurance be for my dad who is 46 years old?

Thanks alot!

Yes a 2005 Mustang will produced, just like every other year. I think you mean is the new Dew chassis going to be produced for 2005, and the answer is yes.

From what I was told buy the Ford dealers in my area the new Mustang will arrive somewhere in show rooms in the ballpark of late 04. I heard May from one dealer and Sept from another dealer, so who knows. they also told me that the price of the new Mustang will be about the same or close to what the current Mustangs sell for.

As far as insurance and monthly payments, no exact price can be given. Insurance premiums depend on location, driving record, coverage, etc. Payments depend on how much down, intrust, what model, etc.

Thanks to everyone who replied especially HiFlow5 0.

One more question:

About the interior.. .. Everyone of the pics that I have seen have been red leather. Please tell me that there will be a blue leather as well. I don't like red.

Blue leather? Interesting.....

Yeah I'm not a fan of the red interiors either, that's why I swapped mine out. I'm not sure what's planned for the interior of the new stang, but I'm sure there will be more then just red. You just have to remember that the pics floating around now are concept pictures, and I'm sure things will change to a more appealing arrangement.

Not to mention the concept cars pictured are two seaters, and the real thing will be a 2+2.

All you have to do if you want to see the possible difference between showcar and reality is look at the Mustang Mach III and the SN95 (1994) cars.

They looked very little alike, and their engines were completely different.

Re: 2005 questions

I did some research on the 2005. The due for the new stang is early to mid septemper, the 19th I believe. As for leather, it has 2 types of leather, black and a tan color.

yeah, that picture is the concept. go here http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/index.htm and you can find almost all the info released so far about the new mustang. The forums also have a lot information and talk about the new pony. The price isn't going to be much more than the current body style out right now. And the convertable won't be available until early '05, while the coupe is being released in september. There's tons more of information to post, however the website has it all also.

Re: 2005 questions

just to answer your question about the convertible tops, they do not leak what so ever. The only possible leaking you could get is if you top is in tact (mine is still after 10 years) if if your weather sealig around the windows starts to go and leaks from there, but again, 10 years later and not a drop gets in. The tops ar pretty sturty deals.

Lucky Bastard, Must be nice. I'm jealous. You'll have to get some pics up when you get it.

I am also very interested in the new 'stang. Normally I am not a fan of the red interior either but the website photos blew me away. Happily, the carpet is not red - yuck - if I remember right. The black interior didn't looked more charcoal and I hope it is fully black when it comes out. I would definitely be looking at a white car with red interior, tho' a dark blue (please oh please) w/tan would great. I understand the metal accents on the dash are optional - a must have for me as the interior looks just awesome. As for convertible v. coupe - I'll take the hardtop - all business! Hard to wait until fall.
