I've had some good results with the freezer myself - just put the model in a plastic bag in the freezer, and the parts will gradually fall off. Took about 2 days last time I tried it. :coolguy:

Brake fluid works too. You have to leave the car in brake fluid for a while, the paint will come off and some pieces that are glued together will come off too. If a specififc parts does'nt come apart, don't force it, you'll probably break it. Good luck.

Yeah I had the parts in CSC for 48 hours (when I was stripping the paint) and they didnt really come apart. Is brake fluid better for stripping paint? I think I'll try the freezer tonight and if that doesnt work I'll go buy brake fluid in two days if its better then CSC.

The only thing I can suggest is to slide a razor blade in/under the seam of the glued part and try to pry it off. A good percentage of the time this will work well. Forcing a really stuck part may break the part though.

I just got finished taking apart a model that I finished about 5 years ago. I just used the razor blade technique.

Well since I didnt want to wait two days I decided to try the razor method and it worked out pretty good. Heres a pictures of the now dismantled engine.

I'll be sanding and priming tomorrow along with the chassis.
