What are the consequences of wrong battery size
Got a battery for my 2wd, 4 cylinder toyota tacoma today. The employee asked if it was a 2.4 liter. I said I was unsure because my owner's manual isn't specific to the truck I have, and I can't find info stamped on the engine itself. He confidently gave me a Duralast with part # 24F-DL...I'm not sure if that's code for 2.4 liter. Later, I found an emissions test document that said my truck is 2.7 What are the consequences of placing a 2.4L battery in a 2.7 liter engine?

Re: What are the consequences of wrong battery size
A quick web search shows the 2.4 and 2.7 engines used the same battery, as far as I can find out.
So you should be fine. |
