12 out of 36: Ferrari 166MM Barchetta LM'49 Winner

Horrible kit. No matter how it looks right now, it doesn't look like that because MFH made it that way. I spent so much time correcting all the flaws and adding stuff, this model might as well be scratchbuilt :-) Worst MFH kit I have built to date, and I have built several. Anyway, 12 out of 36 cylinders finished the race, let's hope others are not that far behind! Cheers!

Awesome, even if it was a horrible kit it was worth it because it is a work of art now! Superb build!

Always exciting seeing one of your projects completed. Despite being such a lousy kit you turned it into magic. Can't get tired of looking at this beauty.

Shiny!

Seriously cool model you have there, mainly thanks to your skill combined with patience and perseverance. Many would have stuffed it back in the box after looking at the parts.

Dear Alex,
another proof of your supreme abilities even with worse requirements.
I wonder about your patience again and again.............

May i ask something about your picture taking set-up? It seems to me that there ist some more light intensity from the left side? Or is it just my imagination? I ask because i DO HAVE that problem! Curious...

All the best
Yours
Jochen

Truly impressive result as always, another job above and beyond us mere mortals. I have the old UMI kit waiting in the wings, hopefully will be a much less daunting task. Any advice?

Mike

I'm afraid this is what Gio and Steven done! In fact, this is what I have done for almost two years. Glad to have this one off the bench.

Jochen,

To be honest, there is nothing special about my picture setup. I just take photos outside, on a white poster board. So, obviously, I have more light intensity from the side where the sun is :-) I just think it makes the pictures look more natural.

I'm sure you meant this as a compliment but such comments tend to be not so appreciated around here
