What do you all think ?

I found out the self leveling module for the rear air ride shock assy is going bad, when the car is loaded down the system just dont jack the rear end enough.
So after pricing all of the parts needed
I think it would be just as good to do away with that setup and just install some simple air shocks.
OBTW it is a 92 Park Ave.
What say you?

Are you sure the strut air bladders are not leaking? You can install a Monroe remote air fill kit (Part #AK29) for less than 10-bucks.

Re: What do you all think ?

If I understand you correctly that your air compressor in the engine compartment DOES come on, but just doesn't stay on long enough to lift the back end sufficiently, then it's probably the air bladders on the rear shocks, so buy the remote kit as HotZ recommended.

Alternatively, it could be the ride height level sensor on the rear right control arm. Unhook the connector from the arm of the sensor to the control arm, and move the arm of the sensor up. If the car doesn't jack up any higher when the compressor comes on, then you know it's not the sensor that is giving you trouble.

To make sure that air is getting to the bladders, you can unhook the air line from the rear shock and then get the compressor to activate and feel for decent air pressure coming out of the air line. To get to the air line you just have to remove the wheel, then you can access it.

Most likely the problem is the air bladders, though.
