Your Favourite Supercar Lists - MUST include the McLaren F1!!!

Well I'm sure these kinds of favourite supercar list threads have popped up all over on just about every car forum out there. But here's one with a twist - your list MUST have a McLaren F1 of any kind somewhere on it. Oh, and you're free to post up to a maximum of 12 cars, naturally 1 being the highest and 12 being the lowest ranked.

I chose the number 12 because there ain't anything else better on Earth than a good, properly engineered and fettled high-performance V12 engine. (Well, almost anyway )

So to start off, here is my money-no-object Dream Garage:-

1. McLaren F1 Le Mans XP1LM
2. Koenigsegg CCX-R Edition
3. Koenigsegg Agera
4. Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce
5. Pagani Zonda 750
6. Pagani Zonda Cinque
7. Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
8. McLaren MP4-12C
9. Lamborghini Diablo GT
10. Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
11. Ferrari F430 Scuderia
12. Ferrari F599 GTO

Hmm I simply can not get 12 full but lets say top 5 for me:

1. McLaren F1 LM
(The most crazy thing what you can get on the road, not being a racer)

2. Lamborghini Countach LP400S
(The most crazy thing talking about old supercars)

3. Ferrari F40
(Glad Ferrari made this)

4. Porsche 911 GT3 RS
(no turbos, very close to racer to the streets, I like!)

5. Lamborghini Diablo
(early rearwheel drive models, 90-93+GT, looks superb and sounds also, especialty GT-version has left me a big memory!)

I could easily add a dozen or so 911 variants but I don't think they fit the "Supercar" tag despite regularly having similar performance to contemporary Supercars.

Very interesting, original and inspired line-ups. I too salute the F40, 288 GTO, Diablo GT, and Carrera GT, and of course every following mid-engined supercar owes its lineage to that legendary Miura.

Agreed, I wouldn't consider a 911, even a new GT2 RS, a supercar. There are just too many of them and they look too alike, while a genuine supercar has to look and feel special.

Very intriguing. You'll want to have very deep pockets for that CLK GTR though, they're pretty costly to run and keep in good order, oh wait *smacks forehead* I did say money no object. While you're at it, why not the SuperSport version though? Sorry I don't mean to criticize, I'm just curious.

Love the XJ220S TWR and F50 too.

I'm also curious, what is an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Works Service Big Bore Conversion? Is it the 7.0 liter one?

Regarding the clk gtr, I don't mind if it is a 'regular' one But yeah, you're right, I want chassis 0012 and 0037.

Basically anything that came out in the mid 80's to the end of the 90's does it for me. I like the new stuff like the Carrera GT, Enzo and so forth but they don't hold a candle to these cars IMO.

Both Koenigseggs and Ferrari F430 Scuderia are V-8 powered.

I know that, but I did not say that the supercars on our lists strictly have to be V12-powered only. It's not just about the engine.

By the way you missed the MP4-12C also, which is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged V8 kicking out around 592Bhp.
