repairing scratches

When i get my car back from the shop there's gonna be a scratch still on the back bumper that i didn't have them repair cause i didn't know who was paying for it yet (my brother's friend scratched it with his bike). I also want to take my Red "H" emblem off the back. When i replaced the silver stock emblem i left a scratch cause i was using a flathead screwdriver. I now know that floss or string would've been better. Anyhow, I want to be able to fix both of these scratches myself and was wondering the best way to may them look normal again. The one on the bumper is pretty nasty and the estimate was 80 bucks. The other scratch is currently under the red emblem so it isn't that long and it isn't that deep. I figure a little black nail polish or paint could fix that one. Any ideas?

800 grit sandpaper. Touch up paint. Polish. Repeat the last two steps until it looks good.

yeah you can get all that junk from kragens or autozone or shucks or napa whatever places you have

if the bad scratch is deep, you might want to get a lil' tiny palm sized bucket of Bondo to fill in the scratch. just get Bondo and a spreader, And that 800 Grit Sand Paper. Fill scratch w/Bondo, spread it so its packed in the scratch good, and no acess bondo on top ( so its flush w/car's contour ) let dry, sand w/800Grit S.P , then do what 911 said .. ONLY if its a deep enough scratch, cuz if its just sanded and polished and the scratch still is "feelable" it will be easier for the paint to chip off again and start rusting or what not..
