Question CONFUSED!!! 22re timing/distributor

(1986 22RE,) #1 CYL TDC CAM IS @ 12:15 BY MARKING ON GEAR,, DIST. IS POINTING TO #3 CYL. CRANK IS AT 0>> TURN CRANK 1 COMPLETE TURN,CRANK IS AT O, TDC #1 CYL. IS @ 11;45 by MARKING ON GEAR,, DIST. IS POINTING TO #2 CYL. . hELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS SIMPLE EQUATION "I CANT SEEM TO AEE THE FOREST FOR THE TREES" i NEED CRANK IS AT INPUT I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS JOB.. THANKS

Hey man, I was working on a 22RE tonight with my bosses Dad, Hie cam was at 12 o'clock and his crank was at 6 o'clock and #1 piston at tdc and had to move hie dist around a notch, you put it in at 12 o'clock and it will go ccw about 35 degrees, should land centered on #1 plug under dist cap. Goodluck.
