Exclamation Audi R15 Plus LM Studio27 VS Profil24

Friends, not a rare occurence when manufacturers compete a boundary path themselves. In hands I of it didn't hold anything.
I absolutely precisely wouldn't like that the history as from Peugeot 908 2009 from Studio 27 and from Renaissance would turn out.
At Studio 27 whale was last year's and not to the original. I hardly was haven't purchased Studio, but Spike2933 the beginnings it to collect earlier. Only from it I have learned that it is better to purchase Ranaissance.

What your professional opinion that will be the most authentic. What it is better to purchase in your opinion and why??

Studio 27

Re: Audi R15 Plus LM Studio27 VS Profil24

I've just ordered the Profil24 version mostly just because of the price difference. I've built a few of their kits already and detail and quality has always been very good. There's usually some minor fiddly assembly issue but nothing serious.

I've also built a few S27 kits and while they may be some of the best as far as mold quality they are not without flaws. I had to remind myself several times while building the Ferrari 512BB-LM how expensive the kit was to keep from throwing it across the room. Most others weren't quite so frustrating.

Re: Audi R15 Plus LM Studio27 VS Profil24

I'm always amazed how simplified Studio27's cockpits are. All the GT1/2's lack serieus detail inside. Rollcage (never full visible rollcage, mostly the bar behind the windowbanner is missing), small (sometimes bigger)parts inside, no inside decals mostly (just the seatbelts and sometimes the motec display) to name a few.. It's a real effort to scratchbuilt 40-70% of the cockpit. After the Supra GT JGTC 2001 kit I never seen them produce a detailed cockpit anymore and sometimes I really think DID THEY FORGOT THE INSIDE?....

Re: Audi R15 Plus LM Studio27 VS Profil24

The Profil 24 will have more detail, but not go together as well. For close to $200.00 the Studio 27 kits are way to simple, sometimes almost toy like in detail.

I hope you finish yours by next April Mike!! By the way, some new decals and transkits coming from SD soon. Will have them at Ferrari Expo 2011.

Re: Audi R15 Plus LM Studio27 VS Profil24

Thanks for your answers. I perhaps will stop the choice on a set from Profil24. Quality of molding of a body from pitch at Studio27 is doubtless much better, but judging by the instruction the model of Frenchmen will be more interesting. I hope that quality hardly will be better than their Porsche RSR. I have spent the Same poll at the Russian forum and all to whom I have had time to talk - 2 persons. choose Studio. My question sounded - that you would prefer?. I precisely know that they won't buy, therefore their answer not absolutely objective.
I think, the Cross-section nevertheless is more interesting and cheaper, and quality still very much depends on that who builds model.
