Re: Dead Battery

Do you have a key?
Is the drivers door open?
If you can lift the hood, backfeed 12volts to charge the battery in the trunk.
If doors are locked, and no key, need to jackup the car to backfeed a 12vdc charger to a hot
spot to charge battery in the trunk.

Re: Dead Battery

What year is your LS? My wife's 2002 and my 2004 both had key cylinders in the trunk lid to open the trunk with. You might also be able to go through from the back seat by folding down one of the seat backs. I don't recall if the release for the seat back is in the trunk or not though, I think it might have been.

If the battery was completely dead after sitting only a short while (less than a couple of days) I would be hesitant to try and backfeed a non-fused battery source to power the circuits. If the battery is that dead, either the battery has a severe problem or there is a massive drain on the battery. If the battery is open internally, then backfeeding should be fine, but if it is shorted, backfeeding the circuit could ruin your day.
