jeep cj7 steering box

i have to replace my steering box because of ongoing leaks ,, if i have to take it out fix , i may as well replace it with a gm unit ,, so can any one tell me what make model and years will fit,, i have an 1986 jeep cj7 with a 6 cly. engine and power steering an info would be really helpful thank you bruce

I don't have the answer to your question, but a local junkyard may be able to tell you what will fit, they usually have a pretty good cross index of parts.

If it was mine, I'd be leaning towards a rebuild, since aside from the leaks it works fine.
