BLUE GAUGE CLUSTER Project Complete!! Check out the pics..

Okay!!! Here are the awaited pics!! My car looks SOOO nice.. unbelievable how dope it looks at night.. I LOVE IT... so much better than the red.. I can't wait till I get my alpine 9815 to match the blues.. yum yum..

Anyhow, long story short - Jeff from jdmnow.com totally took care of me.. I didn't realize they were local till I got my jdm lights and put some other stuff on order (till I get my next paycheck ) at first, I thought this task would be impossible to turn the gauges blue, especially after seeing the longass thread from before and how long the project was going... anyway, jeff helped me get all the panels off and take everything apart. We just got everything working since putting needles back on was tricky and everything is 100% fully functional.. i was kinda scared 'bout my mileage too, but once we got it all figured out, it was cool.

As for the lights. we had to get the specialized leds that would work which was part of the delay..... anyhow, mad props out to jeff at jdmnow.com.. he says he just started tailoring his business to end users like us instead of just shops and distributors.. and I think that's a total plus for us.. anyhow, mad props for all the help if u read this..

For those interested I'll put a kit together w/ all the LEDs and DIY instructions and mail those out if u want.. anyhoo - I'm going to be doing the other stuff as well climate control and the left panel switches (sunroof, etc.) I am working on those now... if u guys do want a kit, it'll include everything for your car to make it nice BLUE..

Anyhow - enjoy the pics!!

Looks awesome! Last year I had made my own "poor man's reverse indiglos" as I called them, basically just used blue bulbs in place of the stock clear ones in my instrument cluster. Now I've swapped them all out for amber bulbs to give a nice JDM CTR type look for my Civic. I also swapped out the bulb to the "D4" light on the auto slector panel on my gauge cluster as well, for a blue LED instead. it looks really nice, pic below.

With your gauges there, was pretty much what you did was swapp out the bulbs inside the cluster for blue LEDS? If so, that seems like a piece of cake job to me. Anywho, no matter how it's done, that's about the cleanest lit set of gauges I've ever seen!

THanks for the compliments guys!! Thing is that w/ the RSX gauge cluster - all the lights are really LEDs.. so it was a BTCH to do it.. wasn't just some bulbs you could replace. I could post some pics of what was done if you guys are interested..

Sure!

I never was aware that the RSX cluster was lit by LEDs off the bat, that's cool stuff in itself.

that looks pretty sick. That is nice man, really nice. I'd do somin like that, but my car's scheme is red Nice job, and yea , post that how - to or walk thru on it. Im eager to see how it was done.

And SILVER ! Does yer cluster have a amber cover over the light inside of your cluster ? cuz on our cars, they do, and if you take it off.. it' will be brighter, so yer amber might show brighter. i dunno. I do like the JDM look tho , nice touch

if your color scheme is red, maybe try changing the blubs to red blubs instead of blue or amber. I duuno, sometimes those red bulbs look more pink, but its a thought.
