Looking for opinions

I have been fighting with a transmission issue for over 2 months, to the total of $2000 on a 1999 Ford F250 4X4. What has been happening is some sensor has been sending data to my computer and then my computer tells my transmission to drop in to 2nd gear. For weeks, there were no codes and finally, just this Saturday, these two:

P0705 & P1702

Now my question is:

If the truck shifts perfect for say 10 miles, then more or less goes in to 2nd gear for 8 miles, then returns to working properly for ten, and so on.
Is it in your opinion:
A.) The wiring to the sensor.
B.) The sensor is toast.

Re: Looking for opinions

Just to let others know, it was the wiring to the sensor....
