99 Silverado Seat Release Lever.

Here is my problem. Tried getting access into the back from the driver side last night and it feels like the lever to fold the seat and move it forward is stripped. I was trying to look with flashlight what could be the problem. I dont know if there is a gear or teeth or what could have broke. I cam move the seat with the lever under the front of it but I cant make it fold forward. I think the lever says enter on it.

Re: 99 Silverado Seat Release Lever.

I just replaced this part on my Silverado. The leveler has teeth on the inside that break. You can take the level off easy. I went to Pull-a-Part. Take your leveler off an take it with you. You can look for cars with two doors in the yard and match yours up with another cars. You can google Pull-a-Part, the cars and trucks are in rolls and easy to get to. U paid a dollar for the new handle off a two door car.
