Evap temp sensor location

Hello all. New here and have a problem. My 2002 LS has begun going hot from both sides and when running the test I get the error code denoting a "evap temp sensor short to ground" I've read a lot of past posts on this and have pulled both bolsters from the pass and driver side...the problem is I can clearly see the driver side temp sensor and the passenger side temp sensor but I'll be darned if I can find/see the evap temp sensor...i realize there are three total sensors but I can only locate the two. I tried pulling the radio/a/c control panel and upper vent with no luck seeing it that way either. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Re: Evap temp sensor location

The Evap temp sensor is also accessed from the driver's side foot well. If I remember correctly, it's about half-way up the center vent area. It is interchangeable with the driver's and passenger's temp sensors. If it's truly shorted to ground, the problem is not likely to be the sensor but instead the circuit for the sensor.

Re: Evap temp sensor location

Found it...it was lower then I thought and hiding behind that "round" device....I switched it out with the drivers sensor and "fiddled" with the wireing....just drove the car on a 300 mile round trip to Orlando and back with no A/C problems. Now on to the valve cover gaskets and C.O.P's
