seat belt problem

2003 Lesabre Limited. Plastic "housing" for rear seat belt buckle broken and can't reattach. Does the entire buckle have to be replaced or can I replace the plastic part?

Re: seat belt problem

You have to replace the whole seat belt. They do not sell individual parts for seat belts for obvious reasons - even though it's just a plastic casing.

Re: seat belt problem

10-4. I found one at a junkyard. Now I have another question - how do you remove the rear seat? Can't seem to get it loose.

Re: seat belt problem

Can't remeber for sure but I think they just clip in. You have to give it a good pull. I do not think those where bolted in. I am suprised you where able to get a used seatbelt though? Typically salavage yards will not take that type of liability if the seat belt/buckle where to fail. Personally I would never put a used seat belt in a vehicle, thats just me though, food for thought I guess
