Console dies

97 Neon Espresso When I turn on my headlights, the dash stops working, both turn signal indicator lights come on and steady, high beam indicator comes on. All gages stop working. If I open the door it all works properly.
I’m thinking bad headlight switch.
Ideas?

I would pull the headlight switch and check the connections.
