chirping sound
hi.
when my car is @ idle i get a chirping sound. the sound seem to come from the throttle body area. anyone have any idea what is causing this? 2003 taurus 151,000k |

sounds like a belt dry rotted or pulley/bearing

Probably the camshaft syncronizer. Go to Taurus Car Club of America--TCCA- TaurusClub.com.....go to the maintenance & repair section, click on the 2nd sticky "Alert! Dorman cam synchronizer assembly", and you'll learn more than you ever want to know about this. Replaced mine a month ago---not easy, but doable.

This does sound consistent with a worn cam synchronizer. There are quite a few threads on this forum about it as well.
