2000 pa suspension problems
Hello All
my 00 pa has 154000 and any time you hit a pothole especialy with the back wheels it feels like the whole car tries to fly off in that direction really nerve wracking at highway speeds but it instantly corrects back... also have new gabriel front struts and mounts up front and stabilzer links but it feels like every bump in the road is like a giant sink hole and a constant rubbing, creaking, poping sound up front near the left strut tower i am no expert on suspension but nothing appears broken unless its just bushings and when you shut the doors the whole car shakes. i have had it aligned several times over the years and tires balanced it helps for a few days but then back to that rickety feeling again please help if you can it is a really nice car other wise quick as hell buicks are supposed to ride like a cloud this rides like a chuckwagon thank you for any help....y2kpa

Re: 2000 pa suspension problems
I am not going to be much help with the bad ride part. I can tell you the creaking sound at the left strut tower is just that. The mounting plate rubbing or something on the tower. When I changed out my OEM shocks with aftermarket struts, bearings and plate, my right side sweaks over bumps, turns etc. I went to a GM plate no difference at all and still made the sounds. Years ago GM sold a OEM replacement strut kit like the quick strut to help solve this problem. Now when the weather turns cold....no more noise on my right front tower. Now drive to florida in the winter...soon as the temps warm up while driving south...guess what? More noise from the right strut tower. Not all PA's have this problem. Me I just live with it.
