Question Ready to junk my 92 lumina

I have put new battery, new coils, new starter, new belt, new water pump, new throttle sensor and a new map sensor on my car and yesterday while driving it just shut off. it was like you would turn off the key but then it doesnt start again. 2nd time this has happened and the first time it started after sitting for a couple days and then drove fine for a wk..any guesses to what could cause this??? Its driving me crazy

Re: Ready to junk my 92 lumina

When it stalls and wont start do you lose ignition, fuel pressure, or injector pulses?

Yank that ignition module off and bring it in for testing. If it passes, have them test it again to get it nice and cooking. Oreilley's and Advance should have equipment to test it, and they do it for free.

My next best educated guess would be a crank position sensor.

I replied to your first post,so you can read it later if you haven't already. I was having the same problem two weeks ago, long story short,it was the Crankshaft Position Sensor. As soon as i replaced it,it fired right up,no problems two weeks later! I hope this helps out, Don.
