what coolant

What kind of coolant should i put im my 99 grand prix gtp 45000 miles, thanks

If it has dex-cool (orange/red) coolant in it from the factory, put Dex cool back in it. A lof of us, myself included, use prestone dex-cool in the grey jug. I've had no issues to date.

And lets not open this up to the dex-cool debate.

the best thing to do it to have a coolant exchange done. not a flush. at my job we do a exchange with antifreeze called khameleon. it works with all coolants and does not jell up. plus it doesnt eat your gaskets like dexcool

It never fails. Interesting gm is still using dexcool. Gee...,i wonder if the intake gaskets are getting eaten up in my gxp.
