Brake experts please!!

I have a 1993 lx 3.8 automatic. Odometer stopped at 149k.. I want to change the rear brakes from drums to discs. I have never done this before so I could use some help..
What do I need (parts, tools etc..)? How much will this cost(estimates are ok) for both sides? And is it worth it (all opinions are welcome)? Thank you in advance for your time and effort...

Re: Brake experts please!!

I suggest you just replace the brakes, wheel cylinders and drums with the stock setup. I don't think it's worth the added expense for a car like yours. Just my $0.02 opinion. You'll have to search the Web for conversion kits for prices if you really want to go with disc's.
In your wagon post- open it by clicking on the edit button and then down at the bottom click on Delete.

Re: Brake experts please!!

97Bird, I do not have a delete button on the edit page for the wagon. If you can , go ahead and delete the wagon thread that is in the tbird forum..

Thanks for your opinion on the brakes. There is nothing wrong with the brakes right now. I just like discs all around and was wondering what was involved and how much work there would be to do it the correct way.. I thought it would only be around $500 or under, 'live and learn'...
