wierd noise at 3000 rpms

i have a 95 integra LS 5 speed wenever I am driving no matter what gear i am in, when i get to 3000rpms about i hear this really wierd noise coming from the bottom section of my engine(from what i can tell). It stops towards 4000rpms and everything is fine after that. I've had my entire exhaust system changed so i know its not that. I also did a search for transmissions noises but coudln't find anything related......so any help would be much appreciated...thx

is it a vibrating deep nasty sound? if so this is probably whats wrong.....
you said you had your exhaust redone....whoever installed it may have farked up a little bit and at low rpms (3000 in your case) the exauhst piping will vibrate slower than at high rpms....all that means is that if your exauhst is hitting something under your car its going to make the most noticable noise around 2-3000 rpms. you may have to check the piping at the front of your car on a lift and inspect it first hand.
