Muffler on 4 Door Civic?
Hi,
I have a 1990 Civic LX 4 door. I just bought a Apexi N1 STYLE muffler off of ebay for about 50 bucks. Supposed to sound good, a knockoff on the Apexi. Well anyways, I wanna get it welded on by a muffler shop. The problem is that the muffler is not like a Flowmaster or stock muffler that goes vertical then comes out the pipe. This muffler is ment to go straight out of the car. Can the muffler shop just simply change the piping to where the olf muffler used to be they fill it in the new pipe and have the new muffler face straight out? i want them to keep the same size piping to save some money. Somone suggested it would cost about 50 bucks? what do you guys think? Also how long would it take? thanks, owen

yea it shouldn't be a problem at all for them and 50 bux sounds right. Some places have the muffler hang or come out sideways so ask them for what you want it can come out normally also.

my muffler was small enough that they were able to have it come straight out the stock location. If they cant do it with yours then have it come out sideways out the left, or just have it come out the right side.
