got a ticket........
Got a ticket yesterday nite while i was driving with my friend and we were racing.....the ticket was for speed contest....does anyone know how much it would cost for that kind of ticket??I heard its like 2grand....anyway i think my infiniti G20 is cursed.....i got 2 tickets already less than 6 weeks.....And California police are a b****.

I seriously doubt the tickets would be 2 grand in any state. However, it would depend on how fast you were going over the limit. As for two tickets in less than 6 weeks, if you keep that up, you're going to lose your license.

The fine will not be 2 grand. How fast were you going? around 90 is a $260 ticket and your license gets suspended for a month. 100 is about $375 with a suspension. If you are under 18, you are definately getting a suspension though man.

Guys, I don't mean to be a prick......
I may be an old fart, but I remember when I got my license. The bottom line is this.... I don't care how cool your car is, or how good a driver you think you are, the bottom line is, walking just isn't cool. So don't do stupid shit that could jepardize your license. And don't blame the cops because they catch you and ticket you. Be a man and accept your fate. Street racing is just the ultimate poseur event. Go autocrossing. Attend a track event. Shoot, build a real race car and go racing. Hell, buy a racing kart and go racing. I guarantee a 100cc 2 cycle racing kart will give you more grins than street racing ever did. All of these forms of competition will make you a much better driver. Don't be a poseur. Sorry about your ticket. Take it as a good lesson learned and find a better way to compete. You'll be glad you did.

...And on that note I dont want to sound like an old fart either...but man if you are going that fast on a public road, that could not only kill yourself, kill someone else, or kill me (and i dont wanna be broadsided by a car)...please please save it for the track. I saw one of my best friends get put in a wheel chair for life becuase of one stupid racing night.

i was only going 55mph!!!! on a 40mph.........and we weren't really racing cuz we didn't start from the intersection but we were more like speeding....and the police didn't even have his radar on us....he juss saw two rice rockets going down the road.....I was framed...dats why i say they were bitches.....and when i looked up my penal code on the internet....."Speed contest" means that u are racing with someone and it is one of the worst ticket u can get....and i wasn't even racing, juss speeding....maximum is 2g and minimum is 350......and u get 2pts......aint dat a bitch......i got pull over 6 times already when i got my G and 3 tickets altogether....and i think cuz im azn driving a sooped up car...wateva......next time im going for the assaulting a police ticket...whick is a 10,000 bail.....j/k....im juss pissed off cuz i got more than wat i did.......if i got a speeding ticket i would shut up......but racing ticket is far more serious....its a misdeameanor....im out.
