AC problem
The CD player in my 03 Silverado went bad so I took it out to work on it. After putting it back in I noticed that my air conditioning unit had messed up. It constantly stays on blowing up toward the windshield. If you turn the knob to change the position of the blower it don't work. For example when I put it to just blow in the front, it will start to blow a little in the front then quit, all the while its blowing up toward the windshield still. I checked the wires when I took the radio back out and they seemed to be snug and in place, I just can't figure out whats going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: AC problem
The blend doors are operated by vacuum. Without vacuum, the HVAC system defaults to defrost. Check the vacuum connection on the back of the mode switch in the dash.

Re: AC problem
The CD player was messed up more than I thought so I trashed it and got a replacement and I now have it installed. After installing this new player the knob for the position of the blower still would not work but for some reason my dad said when he drove it the other day it started working again, so I don't know if its going to stay working or if its going to go right back out.
