HELP! 2005 TL Sputters Coming Out Of 3rd Gear
I have a 2005 TL that sputters when transitioning from 3rd gear to 4th gear. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they ran a diagnostic test and found nothing. I was told it may be due to the gas I used. I primarily purchased gas from Costco and B.J.’s 92 premium octane. I’ve been using Exxon and Sunoco 92 premium octane gas for over six months now and I’ve use a couple of fuel cleaners. The change has helped but it still sputters a bit. What else could be the problem and what can I do to fix it?
Thanks!

97? You mean 87? You should be putting premium. See how that goes.

I meant to say 92 octane. I’ve only used premium high test gasoline since I purchased my car in 2005.

Check Air filter, and clean MAF sensor.

I recently replaced the air filter but I'll have the MAF sensor checked. Thanks!
