Revell Tuner Golf

I just have a few questions about this kit....

1. How is the assembly on this kit?
2. How is the fitment on the body kit?
3. Could an ITR engine fit in the engine bay?

Thanks

endlesskev86 what are you smokeing? i hate this kit , the moter is so lowly detailed! there is not cross memeber to hold it there. yes you could fit a ITG moter in ther but you would have to make a cross memeber i hate this kit the only good thing is the seats that come with it and the body, and the body anit that good!

when are you building this kit ? i will help you get that acura motor swap !

some of the replys to you have a stong feeling on this kit LOL ! and its ture this ant a very detailed kit , if you would like , send me a privite message regarding any of your problems along the way , and i will try and help you i am starting on this kit at the same time ! i for 1 wont be using the body kit , it is over scaled and not very good lookin , going with the stock grille , twin turbos , intercooler, with roof wing , and hatch fin , and will make my own body kit , the acura engine looks good when detailed , so i am also going with that engine as while , as for wheels and tires i have two set to chosse from , the Xtuners, or i made some from resin , that look like the amt wheels from there snap fast concore, well i post pics when needed and as i progress , Later David

PS here is a pic of the acura motor detailed in a kit i alredy got built , Hope this helps you !

Yeah, the VW Golf was very un-detailed.... I built my own motor mounts (did away with the stock 1.8 even tho i put alot of custom detail into it EX: Greddy Intake, Greddy cone filter, turbocharger, wired, and plumbed.) I had to build custom motor mounts for the new engine.. slightly less detailed but getting worked on (Honda Civic Si Spec B16 With K&N Cone filter) I figure its lighter because its smaller, and it makes more HP (160 HP B16 vs 125 1.8?)

smaller, and it makes more HP (160 HP B16 vs 125 1.8?)
CamaroSS, I think you have you info all wrong. If you think the 1.8 in the ITR only has 125hp you are WAY OFF!! (I may have misunderstood you) the 1.8 known as the B18C5 is the most coveted B series motor you can have and it makes 195hp stock! so no your B16 is not more powerful, it's actually 35hp less. I know this is a little cheesy considering this is just a model but I just wanted to let you know about the specs in real life. just trying to help. It still sits kinda uneasy w/ me that this poor B18 is going into a VW? but oh well it's your model

Re: Revell Tuner Golf

The 1.8T of today = MK4's 1999-2003 and MK5's 2004 and up and have 190HP.. The MK2 wich you are making a model of had about 140-150HP.

Re: Revell Tuner Golf

but only the late Models with 4 valve (140hp) or "G-Lader" (160hp) had as much power as you say, samurai. The regular gti had only about 110. Believe me i had one golf mk2 1.8 but with only 90hp
