Looks like the new Cadillac concept car. Think they called it the "V16"

It's a POS V16 which only has the fact it has some rather nice Displacement on Demand techonology in it- not dissimlar to the technology used by Mercedes Benz.

other wise it's a 4 speed auto and wieghs twice as much as the Bugatti Veryon.

Why the comparison to the Veyron? Besides both of them having V16 engines and four wheels, they have nothing in common. The Sixteen is heavier because it's larger. The Sixteen puts out (a claimed) 1,000hp, while the Bugatti needs four turbos to boost it that far. Try putting four people in a Veyron or getting 20 mpg!

The Sixteen is the best concept Cadillac has had in many, many years.

The 16 cylinders of the Veryon take W form not V form

Yes the Sixteen is good for Cadillac- or as a matter of fact any American manufacturer- but it still is no world beater in terms of tecnology or innovation

It is by far the best Cadillac concept that had the biggest impact on the car world in years. I love it. Cadillac goes back to it's powerful and luxurious roots that date back to the 30's. And how is this not technologically advanced?

The technology isreasonable- but not as advanced as that of Bugatti or Mercedes Benz- Aside from the DOD the car is just two LS1's stitched together with a lengthened crankshaft, it is hooked up to a 4-speed Auto (Which I hope like hell i f they decide to make it- that it never makes it to the production car)

A "W" engine is a "V" engine. In the case of the "W16," it's basically two V8s rotated at 15 degrees and merged (or to 15 degree V8s merged at the crank). It's still just a V16 engine.

As far as the 4-speed transmission, with the torque and horsepower that this engine (supposedly) produces, the 4-speed should be more than adequate. I'm sure the people who look at cars on paper would rather have 5-, 6-, or 7-speeds (or more) in the transmission. But if the 4-speed can be reliable with 1,000hp behind it and can still turn out 20 mpg, I don't see the problem.
