Warning Light

Hi, lately whenever I start my 96 Cavalier and make a turn a warning light comes on. It looks like a square with a water line inside and an arrow pointing down. Does anyone with an owners manual know what this means? I've checked all the fluids. Water level is fine. Any clues?

No, my turn signals aren't on. It's started popping on now even when I'm not turning, but tends not to pop up once the car has been on for a while.

Sounds like a crappy low coolant level sensor, they are usually snapped into the passenger side radiator tank about midway up. These are notorious for the snap lock cracking.

Yea, I thought it might be a bad sensor. It looks like this: (this is my first time posting a pic, hopefully this will work)

Make sure you are not loosing coolant. Top up your radiator when vehicle is cold and also your radiator resorvoir bottle. If problem persists you have a leak or a bad low level sensor. Good Luck.

Yup...thats what it sounds like...bad sensor...

It does it when you make a turn though?? Thats the part that confused me...:alien: Must be getting a lot of "slosh" which may be uncovering that sensor for a split second. Maybe you have an air bubble in the system??
