Angry Driving with mom......

It's not a kill story but hey it's driving realated....

Anyways so I'm driving with mom this morning and I get bitched at the intire way to school. Forst off I'm stuck in this BIGA** GMC Saburban. It's not a god awful truck but it's huge. Worst thing about it it's slow and the front suspision needs replacing so it goes bouncy bouncy alot. Anyways leaving the nieghbor hood and it starts.....I'm a stop sign and get ready to get out on the road and what do I hear. "YOUR ROLLING THROUGH A STOP SIG YOU CAN GET A TICKET FOR THAT". I'm sittingthere like I'm getting ready to go how is that rolling. Then I get to a intersection turning through it and I hear "YOUR GOING TO FAST!" and I'm rolling through it at like 15. It's just goes on and on. The worset part is I take my test in like 3 weeks and few days. So I know she is just gonna make me drive more and more. But I hate it cause All she does is bitch and yell. I don't about you but it is awfly hard to pay attention when yor pissed cause the passenger wont stop yelling. Anyone else have this same experience or had a parent that you HATED to drive with but couldn't do anything about it ? Don't want it to sound like a bitching post but I wanna know if anyone can give me some advice or share some stories of screaming, yelling, panicing or down right bitching parents ?

my mom was never a problems. my dad used to make little comments about my driving that would drive me up the wall, but it was just advice and Im sure Im a better driver for taking the advice.

Did you just start driving? Cuz when I first started driving my parents were like that. Actually my dad was the easy going one and then my mom was the bickering one. Then about 3 months till i turned 16 they flip flopped and my mom was easy going and my dad was going insane. Their just not use to you driving yet, and it freaks your mom out that you can already drive.
P.S.-Dont ever brake check someone with your parents in the car.....they'll chew your ass out from end to end.

All I can say is listen to her advice. She'll calm down. You'll not escalate the arguement and you might learn something you hadn't before. Worked for me all those many moons ago.

Yeah I'd have to agree with most saying that my dad was pretty laid back when he took me driving my mom on the other hand was completely mental she wouldn't stop picking out little things and the more she talked the more I messed up but thats changed now since I am a better driver then her, she doesn't like to drive in the snow she just gets me to do it for her sometimes.

W3rd!

Don't think that you're the only one!

Shit, when I started learning standard....with my Dad, in our '91 VW Jetta turbo diesel, he would bitch about me.....driving over potholes!??!!??!!? WTF!?!?!?!? I'm trying to get the fucking clucth down and he's bitching to me to fucking SWERVE (And I mean SWERVE) around potholes!!! Shit! Get out of the damn car if you don't like me hitting potholes and point them out to me!!!!!!

Man he's frustrating!

BTW....I hate standard....I'm going to get it oneday, and to do that I'm gonna rent a standard car and Jizown that shit until I gots it DOWN!

BTTW, have you ever been in a Jetta!!?!??! These things are fucking GIGANTICALLY tiny!!! And I'm a big boy! (5'11", 200~ pounds) Plus my right ankle is ganked since I broke, fractured, and dislocated it a few years ago, and I am not comfortable in that thing!

W3rd!

Later!

wow, i'm probably the only one that's opposite...

my parents both raced, so i'm constantly being made fun of for going too slow... and i have to keep reminding my mom that my car is faster than hers, and 7500 rpm in second gear isn't a street shifting point

My mom really doesnt care what I do when I drive; She just asks me to go not too fast, and not to do ebrake turns. But, she knows I do them, but doesnt really mind. Drunk driving is a no-no though (as it should be). But, shes cool with everything (she let me drive at 14, ferchristsakes).
My dad is the one who is the back seat driver; always has been, always will be. He will complain, tell you how fast to go, how far to follow, when to shift, when to cruise, etc....pretty much the most annoying guy. He'll also make a loud and obvious "whoosshsh-aahhhhh-hissss" type sound, sounding very afraid, if you do something he perceives as slightly dangerous.
Oh well, I dont have to drive with him much. On the plus side, he does it to everyone
