A friend of mine owns a 97 Trek. I think he said it was a 2.0 litre? I know nothing about VW's, I'm a Honda guy. His check engine light has come on and won't go off. I told him to check the gas cap, didn't work.
He said it started coming on when he was running the AC about a week ago, but it would go off when he shut the AC off. I told him it was probably coming on from a low idle? But now it just stays on. The car is not running poorly or anything, at least not yet. Anybody have any suggestions or is this a common Jetta problem or what? Thanks a bunch. CR

no ho's?
Thats sad, a ho'less pimp. Good lord. What is the world coming to?
Sol thanks for that info, but I wasn't aware that there were places that do that for free. I've never had to deal with check engine lights (knock on wood) Would you happen to know names of any of these said places? Thanks. And if I find any stray ho's I'll shoot em yer way! Peace...... |

My Jetta throws engine lights for no damn reason, too. Don't stress. Unless you hear funny noises heheheh.

As long as the CEL isn't flashing it isn't a critical issue.
