Internet Radio

I listen to stuff on the internet while I'm at work. I can't install anything, so I cant use any p2p programs to get .mp3s.

I was using SonicNet.com, because you could pick and rank music genres you liked to compile an artist list, then you could rank or remove individual artists to say how often you wanted to hear them. It was great. Then they took it away.

SonicNet was run by MTV, so they moved some of the pre-made stations to MTV.com and VH1.com, but the pre-made stations play the same thing over and over. It's almost as bad as commercial radio.

I have used WindowsMedia.com before to find stations, but about half are dead or just never connect.

Anyone have other sites for internet radio?

Edit: FREE is good.

www.musicmatch.com

I think they have something for streaming music. I use their MP3 player. I used to swear by Winamp til I got MusicMatch Jukebox. It's also an awesome program for converting your CD's to MP3s.

They make you pay.

I tried it; it played 3 songs, then said "Gimme some money!"

Ok I went onto their site and noticed it is now at v. 6.1. He has 6.0 and he said he did NOT use the RadioMX. He downloaded the program and went thru the jukebox on 6.0. Try doing a search and see if you can find 6.0 version and download that.

That's the station that I listen to whilst driving, they broadcast both on FM and internet, from Toronto.

www.energyfm.ca is another good one.

I like the intro.

But, alas, it won't connect. I'll try again tomorrow.
