99 Hazard Flasher
1999 Mercury Grand Marquis:
Hazard flashers suddenly stopped working. --> It's NOT the fuse! <-- I THINK the problem lies with the switch-- If I hold it in a certain place between the "on" and "off" positions, they'll flash but I get nothing if the switch is clicked "on"! All turn signals/bulbs are in proper working order. Is the switch replaceable... if so, is it a relatively easy fix? (I already know that it's kind of risky working in/on the steering column, because of the airbag); *PS In case you're wondering: Yes... It IS somewhat more important that I have the flashers working because I use the car in my part-time job, blocking/directing traffic, for various private events. It's not ABSOLUTELY necessary b/c I have other flashing lights (strobes & LED's), but I'd like to have them working, if at all possible. ________ BBW Cam Last edited by LieutenantCracker; 04-21-2011 at 07:20 AM. |

Re: 99 Hazard Flasher
It sounds like you have a little wear & tear on your switch.

Re: 99 Hazard Flasher
Yeah, I agree that's probably the problem...

Re: 99 Hazard Flasher
Pull lower steering column trim, there are 2 little torx scerws holding it in, there are 2 wiring connnectors on the back. Takes about 15 minutes to swap.
