2002 PA Fuel Line
The fuel line under the hood has been leaking a bit at the fuel rail connector. I had the same problem in my old Lesabres. I ordered the Dorman kit and cut the line to splice it in, but could not get this one to stop leaking at the union. The hard plastic is difficult to slide over the union. I used a segment of fuel line hose over each plastic end w/clamps. It seems to be holding well, but I am a bit concerned about how the fuel line hose will hold up under the hood on the back side of the engine where it will pick up quite a bit of heat.
Has anyone done this? Should I be concerned with it, or just watch it to see how it does? Maybe it is not a big deal. The fuel line is probably designed to hold up to heat. |

Re: 2002 PA Fuel Line
That's how I did it. Soaked the line for 10 minutes in hot water. It went on, but leaked. No clamps with the kit. It is supposed to grip and hold. Maybe there is too much fuel pressure for it. The segment of fuel line hose added seems to be holding fine. No leaks so far.
