air pocket in steering pump

hi,
i have 2003 crown vic. and abt 2 months back one of the steering pump hose was leaking and i put some stop leak in itand it did stopped but after 2 weeks it started to make a noise when i accelerate it. i took it to mechanic and he told me an air pocket is build in it and it will go away itself, but its not going away. what can i do abt that.
pls help.
