Rear parking lamp issue.

New here.

I have a 2001 Chevy S10 LS 4x4. I managed to short out the right side parking lights while doing some wiring on my boat trailer (left the pig tails plugged together while dinking around with a short in the right side trailer light whoops ).

I have checked all the appropriate fuses, and all is good there. I have 12 volts at the right side parking lamp fuse under the hood, but no power to the wire for the right side parking light/ side marker (brown/white) from front to all the way back to right tail light.

The blinkers and brake lights are still working on this side. Front lights are all working. I have removed the old spliced in trailer lighting harness, checked and repaired all the wires, and checked the ground plug in the rear left side making sure to replace dirty ground connections to the frame.

Where do I look next? Could I have burned up the parking lamp relay? Is it possible I could have burned up the wire somewhere between the rear end and the fuse box without blowing a fuse?

If you have power to left park and power to right side park fuse the relay is good.
Double check the R side park fuse for power on both sides.
I have had fuse that look good but no power threw them or connection at fuse holder.

The wire brown/white r side park wire hooks to the bottom of fuse box to the to R side park fuse.

If no power at right side rear park light on brown and white wire.
You are losing power between fuse and the rear.
Pull fuse box and check for power out of r rear park fuse on bottom to brown/white.
If no power there check threw fuse plug in and fuse for lose of power.
If power there you need to check the wire on back to rear park light.

Let us know what you find.

Most excellent feedback. Thank you. Apparently my fuse tester lied, and visual inspection of the fuse for the right side did not reveal the situation at hand either.

The multi-tester finnally found the problem. (previously I had only used a test light and the fuse tester to check things) Sure enough no voltage to one side of the fuse. Replaced the fuse and we have lights working again.

You are welcome and thanks for posting back how it went and fix.
Them fuses are a little hard to check by looking and beware of Walmart type imported fuses.
I always like to check both sides with a old bulb type tester.
