2002 Lesabre seats don't recline

I have a 2002 Lesabre and neither the driver or passanger seats recline.I have tried and tried the lever but to no avail.Just seems strange to me neither 1 does I am planning a long trip up north and would like the passanger seat to at least recline so can lay back and rest while taking turns driving
Any suggestions would help

No quick answer for this on the net. Take the knob off, then take the seat side panel off to expose the mechanism and see what is happening.

Are the recliners power or manual?

I did take the lever off and the seat panel off that was a pain in the butt getting to the screws and the cable moves but the seat will not disengage.I even tryed to move the seat back and forth and nothing
they are manual
There is a knob there for lumbar support and airbags in the passenger side back seat
I have been searching the net and nothing finally I decided you guys are good and just might know Was going to call Buick and complain but they just give you the run around take it to they dealership close to you is what they will say and who knows how much later they will try and sell you things you don't even need.Hopefully it will get figure out
