Question 1999 SL1 Rear Defroster Not Working

Hey all. New guy here, and I am car illiterate so please go easy on me.

I just inherited my parents 1999 Saturn SL1 with about 107k. The rear defroster light comes on when I push the button but it does not work. My hours at work got slashed recently so I would like to try and figure this out myself if I can...

Any ideas?

Start by checking the connections at the rear windows, there sould be 2 on each side, make sure that they are not unplugged.

I once had a bad connection at the relay panel but it was 1st gen. Not sure if yours would be the same.
