Re: How to remove front drive shaft
Where is the problem? unbolt the ft u' joint clamps, pry the dr shaft out of the transfer case, do not pull it out you could seperate the cv joint.

just making sure, because there are no bolts or anything on the end of the transfer case. I guess it's called a cardone driveshaft. here is a picture.

Re: How to remove front drive shaft
Cardone is the company that remanufactures these shafts, maybe you mean a cardan joint at the transfer case end.

Re: How to remove front drive shaft
Have you actually pulled one out of an envoy??? is there a special tool?? I don't want to brake or bend anything, plus there wasn't a whole lotta room under there.sorry, just keep thinking it's the 80's and something as simple as a driveline would be no problem (and that you need 5 specialty tools and 5 hours to change a seal in a front differental). thanks

Re: How to remove front drive shaft
The rear splined portion of the shaft should pry/pull out of the transfer case just like any drive shaft, just as I said don't pull on the front side of the cv joint.
