Tamiya F1 Lotus Question!
Hello All!!
Given the high price of F1 kits, I have a question. Is there a significant difference between the Lotus 102 and 102B (20030 and 20033) and the 107 and 107B (20037 and 20038)? If the difference is slight, I can try to secure the decals for the more expensive kits and mate them with the more inexpensive kits. Thoughts? |

Dunno mate
I've just received my Tamiya 1/12 Lotus-Ford 78 and I'm looking for some John Player Special Decals. |

Quote:
107 is from 1992 season. 107B is from 1993 season, where the tire rules did change. I think there are more modifications - like the shape of the bodywork. Tamiya typically do NOT take the old kit and just include some new decals. Since plastic Tamiya kits are not that expensive - buy all the kits and save a lot of time and trouble.

Re: Tamiya F1 Lotus Question!
Between the 102 and 102B, not many differences. It will be curbside, as the 102 had a Lamborghini V12 and the B had a V8 Judd. I wouldn't just put decals over the other kit. It would look rather strange and obvious to those who know.
Not so sure about the 107s. |
