A kti I haven't seen in here...

I saw this model at a local hobbystore...I really love Porsches but this was a special car for me...If you've seen a real Koening 928(I've seen one build here) you'll know how awesome this car looks in reality...Soi wide and so agrresive...Th only thing I don't like is the front air duct and the side mirrors but we'll see about that...
Th kit isn't great but the model is captured very well...not Tamyia quality through...
The price was too much 25 US when the Tamyia 959 costs 20 is a steal...

Box pics...

Model pics front and rear...Looks really wide...Definately Black or silver...

Wheels...The rear wheels are soo wide...You

It think I build this kit after the 11 GT 2 since it's a very simple one...Don't know...I also have this 959 calling me...

Cool car. If you want, smooth the bumper and change the mirrors (for me it's good). And above all change the wheels!

Well worth the $25, if you really desired to build it, since that kit is probably OOP

Good find

Hot stuff

I think there's only three or so Fujimi wheelsets with that kind of width. There's the Lamborghini style OZ wheels, a set of deep well RS Watanabes, and a set of Porsche 996RS style wheels. Those are the ones that I think have those ultra-wide rear tires.

But I personally wouldn't trade those nice BBS's, either.

Cant say i've seen this kit......should look good when done.
Wheels do look rather funny...maybe the Tamiya GT2 Road Version would look sweet on it

OOP???

The wheels look nice in person...They have the usual fujimi problem(look small on the car)but are really wide and look perfect with the widekit...

Most popular choices are the 995RS wheels(if they look as I imagine)they might be perfect...and all tamiya Porsche GT 2 wheels!

Thanks for your replys...I hope to start this model soon...

P.S.1:The real one I've seen was silver with these BBS wheels with the inner part of the rim painted black...It looked out of this world...I still consider this paintjob/wheel combo...

P.S.2:Could a mod change the subject from 'kti' to 'kit'!

Personally, i'd keep the rims because you probably won't find rims the same width as the tires and they look great with the car. Those rear tires are huge! Can't wait to see some progress work.

Smile

This is Fujimi's Koenig 911, I think the look of the wheels fit the era of this car and the 928 perfectly. They are bigger diameter than they look off the car.

Thanks a lot Laurent...
Both of them are exceptional...as all your models!
I'm still thinking if I should build it box stock or custom?
Black(like on the cover) or silver with BBS wheels with black centers?

Thanks everyone for your replys!

I would personally paint it a nice black and paint the wheel centers matching black as well, but retain the polished lip. Love the kit btw!
