1995 GEO Metro 1.0 5 speed Transmisson Question.
The transmission gave out in my 1995 GEO Metro 1.0 5 speed a while back, now I am looking in the wrecking yards for one that works. I may have found one from a 2000 GEO Metro 1.0 5 speed. How will I know if the two different years are compatible? Is there some place on the web that can give me a compatibility chart?
Thanks for any help! |

Re: 1995 GEO Metro 1.0 5 speed Transmisson Question.
Any Metro transmission will go in there and work, the one you're looking at will be identical.
All 95 - 00 three cylinders got 4.39 gears, all 95 - 01 four cylinders got 3.79, the Base and LSI 89 - 94 got 4.11.

What is interchange, is it a web site that tells what parts fit what year vehicle? Can you provide a web address for this?
