Question new dash a/c vent

My friend's kid was climbing around our 2007 Tahoe and broke one of the dash air vents (above the radio).. I bought a new one..but was wondering if it is something me or my husband can easily replace ourselves (and if so how?) or have to take to a shop??

Re: new dash a/c vent

Take a look at the new one and figure out how it clips in.
That will tell you a lot about how it goes in.
Some you can reach inside the fins and release them
But you may have to pull dash to replace it.
If the old one is already broke go ahead and break it on out and see if new one will slip back in without removing dash.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes
