96 s10 fuel system?

Hi all,
My truck makes a loud humming noise from the fuel lines, The fuel lines and fuel filter are very warm to the touch. The engine hesitates at idle in drive and reverse, but runs fine under power, It doesn't have this problem all the time
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: 96 s10 fuel system?

Don't worry about the fuel lines. It has to do with the temperature of the fuel in the fuel tank. It's Summer, things in the Northern hemisphere get warm this time of year always have, always will. It has NOTHING to do with global warming OR climate change.

What engine?
How many miles since the last tune up using AC Delco plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor?
Is the check engine light on?
Have you retrieved DTC's and if so, what are they?
Have you checked fuel pressure and leakdown and if so, what readings did you get?
