Engine numbers and VINs

So I got this '74 Nova. Being 36 years old and how many owners I have no idea. What is it really. This is what I have found so far. 131 156479 and V1180CKD. The 156479 matches the last six of the VIN number so I have to guess that it is a stock engine. The 131 tells me it was a Chevy the 3 tells me it's a "73 Engine and the last 1 means it could have been put together in Canada. The V says Flint, Michigan for casting and the 11 might mean January 1st. The CKD were cars made with 350 CID L engines (4 bolt main) from '72-'74 with 180-200 HP. The CKD probably means it had an auto tranny, which it does. I have no idea what the 80 tells me.
Does this all sound about right to anyone?
