2001 Grand Am running rough, trac light "off"
2001 Grand Am got driven through a water puddle bigger than should have been driven through and now the trac "off" light is stuck on, the "service engine" light is on and it is running terrible. I am guessing something got wet that shouldn't have but am not sure where to start. 16 yr old's always learn the hard way, lol.

Re: 2001 Grand Am running rough, trac light "off"
Probably a wet sensor. Ideally you should have your car checked for the trouble code, should be a Pxxxx code.
Once you have the code, tell us, with the car model, motor and mileage As for the trac off, if the engine ain't running well, the traction control will automatically disengage |

Re: 2001 Grand Am running rough, trac light "off"
-for track off light I would say that wheel speed sensor connectors are now probably dirty or wet.
-try cleaning connectors for the above mentioned sensors -scan for codes as the phantom 1492 said -if you have CAI that is installed too close to the ground, it could suck in some of the dirty water so check your air filter and clean MAF sensor |

Everything must have dried out because today it is running normal and all of the lights cleared.
Thanks for your help |
