Power Steering Leak 1999 beetle

My daughter's VW has a bad leak in the power steering (used the wrong steering fluid), I removed the power steering rack and purchased a rebuild kit but I am having problems getting the end seals replaced. Does anyone know how to remove the steering gear or have disassembly instructions?
