Few Questions about my 96'

Sorry If im repeating questions..

1.) my rear barn door top left hinge broke, looks like the pin rusted out, any idea where i can get one and how much?

2.) What size speakers are in the tahoe, my OEM's blew out and I need new ones

3.) My daytime lights say there on, but they arent, any ideas?

4.) is it save to unbolt my overflow coolant tank and clean it out with water then re-attach? sorry, noob question.

5.) like everyone else, slow leak in coolant level, i fill overflow and after a few days, week, it slowly starts vanishing...cant see any leaks on intake manifold or under car...is it just my intake manifold gasket?

The dealer or a salvage yard

2.) What size speakers are in the tahoe, my OEM's blew out and I need new ones

Measure the old ones

3.) My daytime lights say there on, but they arent, any ideas?

Bad DRL relay

4.) is it save to unbolt my overflow coolant tank and clean it out with water then re-attach? sorry, noob question.

Yup, you can also through some old nuts and bolts in there. When you shake it up the nuts and bolts will help loosen up all the nasty that's stuck to the sides. Just make sure you get them all out before reinstalling.

The most common place is the corner of the intake valley right under the a/c compressor. You can usually see the build up of coolant residue in that corner. Pressure check it cold. If its leaking you'll see it.

Re: Few Questions about my 96'

I solved my slow leak by adding the powder leak stop you can buy at walmart. Drain down the radiator enough to add 1 to 1 1/2 containers of the bars powder leak stop. Then drive the truck 20-30 minutes. As far as getting parts for your truck a good old fashion salvage yard can save you a lot of money because there are so many Tahoes and suburbans sold you can get just about anything just make sure the part numbers match.

Re: Few Questions about my 96'

Speakers I found on crutchfield, Ill check salvage for the pin, the DRL issue wasnt a fuse, i checked all of them...anywhere specific i can check?

Im going to get the intake manifold gasket fixed anyways, i tried the leak stop...worked for a whilethen it started again. and im sure its not safe to continuesly do it lol

I love my tahoe, just want to keep er' running strong .
